Crab Tree Disease Alert

Alert from our Bartlett Arborist Representative: M.D. Skeet

Apple scab is a common leafspot disease in our area, impacting most varieties of apple and crabapple trees, as well as pyracantha and hawthorn. The appearance of smoky or smudgy spots on leaves is the first sign of the disease. As infection continues, leaves and fruit will become deformed and flowering is reduced.

Bartlett Tree Experts offers a highly successful treatment program to control apple scab and keep leaves, flowers, and fruit healthy. Taking action at bud break, before symptoms become widespread, will provide the most effective control.
